Emirates Airlines contracted the service of Freightworks to move
their entire aircraft maintainance operation from its old maintainance
facility to its new - state of the art
AED1.8 Billion facility, located on the North Side of Dubai international airport.
The
relocation involved coordination with multiple end user departments,
packaging, transportation, re-arrangement and all related handling
activities. A huge variety of large aviation equipments including
highly expensive aircraft engines with strict transportation
procedures. Emirates Airlines entire aircraft spare parts inventory and
extremely sensitive avionics equipment was successfully re located. The
approximate volume relocated was in excess of 25,000 m3.
The Freightworks Mover Team was continually available 24hours 7days
per week during the challenging move, demonstrating flexibility to meet
changing priorities to support our operational needs.
The
move was managed professionally, with precision and was completed on
schedule within strict time constraints. Throughout the relocation
there were no interruptions to our busy and demanding aircraft
operations. Despite the inherent difficulties with such projects not
one item was misplaced or damaged.
